Good Monday

How are you all doing, blog? I'm doing really well today, if you'll excuse me from saying so myself. I felt upbeat and ready for school when I got up today. I went to my first block (math) when I arrived at school and learnt some extremely fascinating things. The fire alarm went off as I was in my second block, which was Spanish in the cafeteria. I returned to the school and completed my work in second block after that incident. I attended a lesson during the third block, and it was as monotonous as ever. I was on the verge of falling asleep there since the teacher talked nonstop. the fourth block, which is devoted to American literature. I discovered a lot of new information in Mr. Rease's lesson. One of those topics was formal and informal language and how to utilize it while writing letters or speaking with specific types of individuals to determine whether to be serious or not. Additionally, in his class, we saw a film about the importance of effort and completed a little worksheet at the start of the lesson. One lesson I took away from the video was that it's alright to not be clever at something you want to do or to try different things in life.

Overall, I had a really decent day today. I had 4th block class early in the morning, which was strange to me, but it was fine since I got my benchmark done. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to complete; I had to finish one more question, but that's alright. In comparison to the last one I took last month, I felt like I performed much better this time. We also had a pep rally today, which was a lot of fun. I lost my voice, but that's alright since I had a terrific time cheering on the cheerleaders, volleyball, football, and softball teams.

Today in Mr. Rease's class, we began with a bellringer. We had to define perfection and explain what we wished to improve in our lives. Everyone wrote what they wanted to put on the board, and then we explained why. Then we began a task that will take us largely till the conclusion of class. The task required us to take a stand on the importance of aiming for excellence. We spoke about it for the whole class session.

I ,too by Langston Hughes

Today in class, we read and analyzed a poem called I,too by Langston Hughes. Before we read and analyze the poem my teacher played a video that regards the poem on the board. We had to listen and follow along as the video was playing. Also we had to come up with 2 themes for it.
