Today we just had one task for the entire session. We read and listened to MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech. We had a paper with us and noted down the rhetorical tactics he employed during his speech as well as where they came from. Next we documented his alleged use of each item. We also taught about an antithesis and a hypophora. Afterwards we gave in our papers and discussed for the remaining few minutes of class.

Overall, I had a really decent day today. I had 4th block class early in the morning, which was strange to me, but it was fine since I got my benchmark done. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to complete; I had to finish one more question, but that's alright. In comparison to the last one I took last month, I felt like I performed much better this time. We also had a pep rally today, which was a lot of fun. I lost my voice, but that's alright since I had a terrific time cheering on the cheerleaders, volleyball, football, and softball teams.

Today in Mr. Rease's class, we began with a bellringer. We had to define perfection and explain what we wished to improve in our lives. Everyone wrote what they wanted to put on the board, and then we explained why. Then we began a task that will take us largely till the conclusion of class. The task required us to take a stand on the importance of aiming for excellence. We spoke about it for the whole class session.
